Big Fulham fan has written a fine new book on the world of football around the FAA Cup and he talked a bit of cricket. And what else did we do, Andy? We spoke to the Benfleet goalkeeper. Yeah. What a fine effort. We had quite an evening In a local derby, didn't he? Yep.

We don't find you in the best of spirits, I understand.

I've been a very, very bad mood.

What? It wasn't just the football.

I mean, it was the whole experience from start to finish.

Right.

So, let's talk us through it.

Well, Transport for London, in their infinite wisdom, decided to close down the district line to

Full and Broadway and closed the A4.

So what it meant was you just basically couldn't get to the ground. Oh, wow. My son arrived half an hour after the kickoff. Oh, dear. You get there and you wish you hadn't, basically. Yeah. And then the whole thing was a disaster than I get. Oh, yeah. Well, not if you're a son-limb. This was the thing that I was driving my wife's a little electric smart car.

Oh, no.

And I ran down the battery deliberately low so that I could leave it on a charger during the match.

And it would charge, which I often do.

Yeah.

But I get there and there's no charges.

Every single one is being used.

I can't believe it.
