Now we are of course in the midst of what we are calling the era of the streaming wars, right?

For a long time Netflix had the

playground to itself and came Hulu Amazon Prime a number of others crunchy roll whole

bunch of different ones now we've entered into a new stage of that where we've got

HBO Max we've got that where we've got HBO Max, we've got Disney Plus, we've got NBC Peacock, or do we really have NBC Peacock?

The release numbers just came out for NBC Peacock and I thought this was interesting.

Now I don't think any of us expected NBC Peacock to come out of the gate and have as many

subscribers to say Disney did in its first six days, right? But the numbers are a little bit lower than even I expected. As we take a look at this thing here right now,

NBC Peacock launched and in its first six days had 1.5 million people install its

app. Now you got to remember too, most of these people are installing a free

version. It's free. There are paid levels but a lot of a big chunk of NBC

Universal's peacock is free. Doesn't even cost anything to do it. But here's the main thing.

This comes us from Tech Crunch, which wrote this.

For comparison sake, that 1.6 million downloads

in the first six days is only 25% more than Quibi launched with and we talked about what a

disaster that launch was only 25% more than Quibi did but here's the key

number but only 12% of the 13 million downloads that Disney Plus generated in its six days.

Now again, I'm not saying any of us should have expected that say NBC Universal would have

launched immediately with the same kind of reflective numbers that we were
