  • What are teenagers going to learn about God as they work their way through this resource?

This is Adam Griffin, and I'm here with my two fantastic co-hosts.

0:16.4

First, the Duchess of Devoted Devotional Lives herself, Mrs. Cassie Bryant.

0:20.4

How you doing today?

0:21.1

Cassie. So many D's. Yeah. Well, D's get degrees, they say. And didn't you, you're a college dropout, right? Did I remember that right? I am a college dropout. Probably. Proudly. You know, my girls, my girls have college day on Wednesday. They have to wear their favorite college t-shirt. And I know, right? It's a dilemma. So I'm not going to expound on what our

solution has been, but I'll let you know later. Well, you were so called into ministry. So called into ministry so clearly, so young, jumped right out of that college and pursued it. I appreciate that. And here with my lovely Aggie graduate life, she's got too many degrees, but she is the one also who shows me new mercy every morning and the Lord too. But Mrs. Chelsea Griffin is here. How you do you do, Chelsea? Good. I was about to spare you from any sort of blasphemy right there where you claimed that I was the one giving, the only one giving new mercy, but you're right. The Lord and I both give you new mercy, but you don't need that much for me.

1:11.9

Not as much as any from the Lord. Well, guys, today we have with us the one, the only, the minister of mercy himself, the man who wrote the book on parenting. He's a pastor. He's an author. He's an all-around great man of God. I'm so excited to have with us today. Paul David Tripp, everybody. How are you doing today, sir?

1:28.1

I'm doing well. It's great to be with you.

this conversation. There's a million things that I would want to ask you about. I mean, I've

1:37.2

obviously been blessed by your work, maybe not obviously, so let me just gush for a second.

1:42.5

The work that you've done over the last decades

1:44.6

to counsel people in marriage, to counsel parents and households, and then just to talk to people

1:49.6

as leaders and as Christians, how to be godly and to lead well, I am exceptionally, I don't know,

1:56.9

extremely grateful. And I've been very, very, very blessed by your ministry. So thank you so much for the time

2:02.6

today. Well, thank you. I just write what I need. Yeah. That's good. Yeah. I read what I need, I guess,

2:09.5

and it's all your stuff. So that's good for both of us. All right, well, before we start talking about

2:13.9

this great new resource you got, this new adapted devotional. Can you tell us maybe

2:18.2

a little bit about you, your family, and your ministry? So we live, well, we split our time,

2:24.0

my dear wife, Luella and me. We split our time between Philly and L.A. We have three married

2:33.4

children and six grandchildren in Southern California.
