I just discovered a new artist I'm thrilled to share with you.

The Lady Dan is the music of Alabama-born

and now Austin-based musician Tyler Dozier.

She put out her debut album last April, which I totally missed.

It's called, I Am the Prophet.

Now a new song from those sessions has just come out

and it's right up my guitar rock alley.

Here's Lady Dan to take us to our song, Not in Love.

Not in Love is a song about wishing you could write a love song,

but not being able to because you're just not in love.

I wrote this song when I was in a place

where I was experiencing the most depression and anxiety

that I had ever experienced in my life.

And I remember writing this song at a friend's house

while said friend was like in the shower.

And it was just one of those songs that I was able to write

in like 20 or 30 minutes just all the way through

because I had bottled up my feelings so much

that when the time came to express them,

they all just came pouring out.
