Idols are one of the most memorable bands I've ever seen. It's not only the intensity of their music,

but it's the fact that their music drives a message.

They've got a new album called Crawler, and singer Jo Talbot's going to take us to the song,

The Beach Land Ballroom. This is my first attempt personally writing a story in a song,

and I wanted it to be an allegory around the main arch and the theme of the album, which is about

recovery and hope from trauma and addiction. This song was kind of the belly of the beast

in terms of where it comes from. I wanted to explore the darkest points in the traumas

and the lowest points of my addictions and how beautiful it is to come out of that the other side

and reflect on that and be able to build from those low points as foundations for something

much stronger and more beautiful. Our song music for me is that the most appropriate medium for that.

So we went for it and I'm glad we did.
