Tonight we are kicking off a brand new collection of talks. It's entitled New Days, Same Demons.

And as the world changes, new trends, new technology, I want to

remind our church that we still have an ancient enemy, that we are in an invisible war. Can I remind you

of what the Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus, Ephesians chapter 6, verse 12, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the

authorities, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Newsflash, your spouse is

not the source of all the bad in your life.

Newsflash, your boss is not your greatest enemy on this earth.

Newsflash, your kids are not actually leading a rebellion,

although at times it feels like they are.

No friends, we are in a spiritual battle, and we must wake up to the fact that we are in a spiritual

war.

Now, when you start talking about spiritual warfare in church, I have learned in my 18 years of ministry

that people fall into two extreme camps.

The first group of people that many people fall into is, have you ever met somebody

who spends more time blaming the devil than they do praising God?

Get a flat tire?

That's the devil.

Wi-Fi slow.

Who, demons all around.
