State legislatures are often the laboratory for American democracy in the sense that they birth lots of legislative experiments. Today, we're looking at a wide range of laws from both blue and red states that are taking effect this year and how they may impact you.

1:40.0 | We're not going to be talking about Oregon today because they didn't get a lot done because they're just at stalemates, they've just shut down. |
1:45.2 | And so it feels even more important to talk about places that are really working towards solutions |
1:52.2 | for their constituents and their citizens. |
