Mayo, did you watch the Made by Google event yesterday?

Through great tape.

Yeah, I didn't watch the whole thing, but I watched enough of it to get the gist of it and read about it on 9 to 5 Google. But the thing, okay, well, first, we're lucky enough we don't have to talk about it because we have 9 to 5 Google so we don't have to talk about it. but the thing I did want to call out was the fact that it was a live event, which is good, not pre-recorded.

Which Google have done now for the last few years.

Unlike Apple.

So live event, good.

It was hosted by Jimmy Fallon, which is weird.

I mean, a lot of people have strong, strong, strong feelings about Jimmy Fallon.

I think he's mostly harmless. I think he's fine. I think he's cringy and awkward, but I think

that's kind of the stick of him. But putting Google and Jimmy Fallon together for a made-by-Google event,

announcing new pixels and pixel watches and pixel buds. That was a weird event, I think.

It wasn't even the fact that they had a celebrity hosting it. It was the way that they did it,

where it was almost like a, do you have QVC in America? Yep, we do. Yeah, like shopping channel, right?

It was like, here's a Google person and here's

Jimmy Fallon, we're going to stand on this table

together while we show you

various assortment of our new devices

and I don't, Jimmy Fallon

had been briefed beforehand, but he didn't have

like a fixed script, right? So it was kind of like

ad-libbing, very weird

kind of infomercial and
