So Mayo I'm coming to you from a remote Airbnb like 30 minutes outside of Waco because we're in the moving process and our house is empty.

We're talking before the show and there are a number of things that could go very wrong with this recording. I am talking to you via a

Moxie MOXEE portable hotspot which is the quote-unquote router for this Airbnb. The desk that my laptop is sitting on

wobbles back and forth very, very severely so it could collapse at any point.

The room was an echo chamber. I hung up a bunch of blankets, put some pillows on the floor all around me, so we'll see how that goes.

Yeah, you sound alright, to be fair. I think I do sound okay. I didn't have a microphone stand until yesterday. So if you

listen to 9-5 Mac daily on Monday or Tuesday, it was me holding the microphone like a comedian or something, just sitting here in my office, or sitting here in the Airbnb.

What idiot would have to hold a microphone for an entire episode?

That gets me to our next problem.

So I thought I was going to have the most trouble recording this episode,

you know, being out in the wilderness with the animals.

And then we're on video before we start recording and what happens to you,

The end bit of the microphone just

flops forward for the end reason is unclear yeah because I have the mic on an arm

the arm's fine it's like the you know the bit that like adapts the end of the microphone that

plugs into the bit on the arm like the I have a road podcast of mic it's the final little bit on the

end that just makes it stick out. Yeah.

For whatever reason that is just now, about a minute before we start recording,

decide to completely fail and no matter how much you tighten it,

it just flops forward.

So if I like a minute, it literally just falls into my lap, which would not be very good for the audio direction.
