0:18.3	So today I'm going to share with you some of the most recent changes on Instagram, a
0:22.6	little bit of what they mean for you and what you can expect to change in the near future.

0:31.4	All right, let's get into the topic.
0:33.0	The first big announcement is something that isn't an official new feature on Instagram,
0:38.6	but it's called Reels Topics.
0:41.4	Reels Topics is essentially a new replacement for hashtags.
0:45.7	One of my predictions for 2022 on Instagram was that hashtags were going to become increasingly
0:51.2	less relevant as search engine optimization improves on Instagram.
0:55.7	And this is that coming to fruition.
0:58.6	Reels Topics is going to be a new setting essentially that you're going to be able to check
1:03.5	off right before you post on Instagram.
1:06.5	So when you're on that screen where you type in your captions and you add your location
1:10.2	and you apply your reel to certain bonuses, you will also be able to add certain topics
1:15.4	to your reel.
1:16.8	Now this first test was exactly that.

1:20.0	It was rolled out to a lot of users and a lot of people got access to it all at once,
