I'm your host Sam Bessini.

Before we get into a really great podcast on the NBA draft with Matt Penny,

who runs the high major sports scouting service and has

been watching the 20-20 draft prospects play for the last five years.

I just want to give a quick note on the podcast.

As you've seen when you click this podcast, it's no longer associated with CLNS, as you

probably understood whenever you didn't hear their name,

whenever I introed the podcast.

They did an awesome job selling ads on the podcast and being a sounding board for different

ideas I had on it for years now.

And Nick Elso, that runs the company, I'm just super grateful to him for bringing me on

very early and being

willing and seeing kind of where this was going. This is as harmonious a departure from them

as one could have, but the podcast is moving to the athletic, which is obviously where I work now,

and I tend to be pretty transparent on this stuff.

So I'm just going to lay it out.

We came to an agreement on a licensing deal that will see them distribute the podcast on their platforms.

They offered a great deal that allows me to maintain long-term ownership over the show.

And it's a great opportunity to expand the podcasts,

reach into places that I've struggled to previously get to, just because for years now,

it's been an independent show.
