This week, we're in New Hampshire discussing how bunk science stalled a case for 50 years.

So buckle up and join us on this dark and twisted ride through the Granite State.

Judith Lord, who went by Judy, was part of a big family.

She was the 11th child of 14. You should do that. I don't have time to do that. That would take 14 years that I don't

have. So she was born in Maine in 1953,

and her family lived in a small town north of Bangor called Old Town.

She was 11 years old when she and her family moved to where New Hampshire.

Her family described her as quiet and thoughtful. Shortly after high school,

she met a young man named Gregory Lord, who was home on military leave. He was just a year younger

than she was. Within the next year, Greg was transferred to a base in Georgia, and then he was

later stationed in Germany.

Judy got pregnant with their son, and in early 1973, they got married.

After this, she relocated to Germany, has her son, Greg Jr., but then within a year, Greg left the army army and they returned to New Hampshire in October of 1974.

So a lot of be bopping around, but basically she's back home, has a baby.

They found an apartment in downtown Concord on Spring Street.

There, he got a job as an attendant at the New Hampshire State Hospital. Meanwhile,

Judy worked part-time as an aide at the McCurley Nursing Home, so she could also spend time with her son.

Then in late March of 1975, they moved again. But not far this time.
