I always like to start with something interesting.

And my friend Nicole was over the house the other day.

And for some reason, she started telling me all about her new obsession on Instagram,

Louis the raccoon.

And I'm like, Nicole, it's a raccoon.

She's like, no, no, no.

This is really great.

It's where a woman takes videos of her pet raccoon doing things like what raccoons do. They sit around the house and he's got this big belly. He's cleaning his paws and generally just being a raccoon. And, you know, I looked at the videos. It's cute. But I didn't quite see the appeal of sitting there and wasting my time looking at raccoon videos. So Nicole started telling me she went down this whole rabbit hole

and she found out like what it took to have a raccoon pet in the state of Arizona, whether or not

you needed rabies shots. And then I reminded her that she has two small children under the age of six

and having a pet raccoon is probably a really bad idea. But seriously, Louis the raccoon, I looked up, has 80,000 followers.

Louis paints, and he's sporting a Dior hat in one of the stories on Instagram.

I wanted raccoon.

I know.

It's such a raccoon.

You know, I had a raccoon problem in my crawl space and nothing worked to get rid of it. So my neighbor,

so good, came over and she said, listen, what you want to do is put Lutfisk down there and that rotting odor is going to like make the raccoons go away. And I'm like, oh, okay. So I put it down

there and guess what happened? A week later, a Norwegian family moved in. I was just crazy.

Just totally nuts.
