Let's pray together.

Father, you have been at work to bring us out of darkness into light of various measures of dimness and brightness.

And now I pray, oh God, that you would complete that work in some in a decisive

saving way. Some will tell the story.

God saved me at T4G 18.

And I just ask that you'd finish that miracle.

And I'll pray for myself that I would be clear and faithful to your word

and that these folks would be given ears to hear and hearts to embrace the truth. I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

So the theme has been distinct from the world and my title is New God, New Gospel, New Gladness.

How is Christian Joy distinct. I do regard this message not as the capstone but as the

foundation of everything that's been said so far. So really this should have been first, but they

put it last and that's fine because perhaps foundation should be remembered. So here's my main point.

Under the banner of distinct from the world, my main point is the most basic, and I've thought about that word that's an

important word, the most basic most essential distinction between a Christian and a non-Christian is not new decisions of the will,

not. new decisions of the will, not new deeds of the hands, not new doctrines in the mind, but a new delight in the heart.

That's my thesis.
