Blue Origin's New Glen Rocket exploded during a ground test at a Florida launch pad on Thursday evening.

Blue Origin said on X that the rocket experienced an anomaly during testing and confirmed that all personnel were accounted for and

unharmed. There's a video of the explosion on X from NASA Space Flight. It's linked in this article

in the show notes section. The incident is the latest challenge for New Glenn, a cornerstone of Blue Origin's long-term

space ambitions.

The heavy lift rocket has faced years of delays and extended gaps between launches, raising

questions about its ability to emerge as a dependable alternative to SpaceX's Falcon 9.

Tesla's authorized Robotaxy fleet in Texas is less than one-tenth the size of Waymo.

According to a database on the State Department of Motor Vehicles website, Tesla has 42 authorized

robotaxies in Texas, while Waymo has 577 registered vehicles.

Tesla also trails other robotaxy operators in the state. Nebius-owned Avride has

317 authorized robotaxies. Meanwhile, Zooks has 35 authorized robotaxies in the Lone Star State.

The records were published in a database as a new law took effect in Texas on Thursday,

which tightened oversight for commercial self-driving vehicles.

Costco saw record fuel sales volumes in the third quarter.

Shoppers flocked to its gas stations to pay less at the pump amid high oil prices driven by the Iran War.

Costco CEO said on an earnings call on Thursday that all three four-week fiscal periods of the quarter set successive all-time company volume sales records, with the final

five weeks of the quarter becoming their top five volume weeks ever. Costco reported Q3

comparable sales growth of 9.8%, which was well above the consensus estimate of 7.8%. Gas price

inflation positively impacted comp sales by about 2.2%.
