Mike isn't with us anymore, and I am no longer with the Lakers. Have quite the story to tell. You're

listening to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. So what

happened was about three weeks ago, I'd say, we were called into Lauren Lampkin's office. She's

the VP of Communications for Lakers. And the crux of the meeting was, she said, you know, I know

it's said in your contract since you were hired here that you got this podcast and that's cool, but things have changed and we're going to rescind that.

I'm like, oh, shit, it happened.

It, you know, I always, it's always been an interesting position, Dee, to be recording this podcast the last few years as both a Lakers employee and having an obligation to the fans to try to put a good and honest

podcast on.

And so it's like, oh shit.

And I really wanted to know it was important to me in terms of like next steps.

What was it that we said?

And so it didn't get a direct answer from her, but found out from HR that it was the depiction of the Dan Hurley situation
