Summary

The New England Patriots got the tougher part of the NFL calendar started immediately after their win against the Buffalo Bills when they fired head coach Jerod Mayo. Some are speculating that former Patriot Mike Vrabel could take over as coach, but the entire process has been unfair to Mayo. The Detroit Lions once again handled their business and totally controlled the Minnesota Vikings. This sets up the Lions to finally take that next step and reach a Super Bowl. Also in the NFC North, the Green Bay Packers got beat at home to the Chicago Bears and saw some key players get injured, continuing their late-season bad vibes. Now they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers escaped an upset attempt to make it into the playoffs as the Atlanta Falcons choked against the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos held off the Cincinnati Bengals with their win over the JV Kansas City Chiefs, but can they take out the Bills? Probably not.
