All right this is the Bible, this is the word of God, this is the only perfect thing on the earth.

This is how God first and foremost chooses to speak to us. And if you want a word from God the key is to open the word of God.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Bible, we're going to be studying it.

In 1st Kings, chapter 17, it's an Old Testament book written about 3,000 years ago.

And I want to introduce kind of the worldview of the Bible.

The Bible tells us not about just what happens in history,

but what happens behind history.

And history text will tell us what happens in the world we see.

The Bible tells us, in addition,

what happens behind the scenes the scenes that only

God sees and the storyline of the Bible is that our history is supernatural and not

natural that in addition to the world we see there's a world that God sees. In addition

to the physical there is the spiritual. And these two worlds, they do impinge upon and

affect one another.

What we do in our physical world affects our relationship with God

and also with Satan and demons.
