Here we are now. We're going through the book of Hebrews. At some point, we will have the

entire New Testament every single verse taught on live stream. So engage with us in the chat,

be a part of what we're doing. We're going to start at verse one. We don't know who the writer

of Hebrews is. Some say it was Paul. Some say Barnabas.

Some say Apollos.

Some say that we just don't even know.

It could be someone else entirely that never even wrote any other book in the Bible.

A lot of scholars suggest Paul.

I personally believe it was Paul.

It doesn't really matter who wrote it, but we do know that it's inspired by God.

It's a powerful book.

And it's addressing to Jewish Christians.

These Jewish Christians were facing persecution and they were tempted to go back to religion, go back to Judaism.

So this is all about Christ reigning supreme. This is all about the finished work of the cross.

This is all about Jesus, the high priest in chapter 7 that we're going into tonight.
