The Denver Broncos held a community information meeting at La Alma Rec Center just east of Burnham Yard,

which is the preferred site of their new stadium. Here's everything you need to know about it.

Let's dive into this meeting and what we learned today.

And you might have heard me say it's the preferred site for the broncos burnum yard it's still the

preferred site they have not taken that word preferred off and made it the official site for their stadium

because there's still a lot of work to be done a lot of permits that need to be done right now that

that building or the area burnham yard is not yet zoned for a stadium. So they have to get that change.

So many permits that need to happen before this becomes the actual site of where the stadium will be.

So a lot of work still needs to be done in a short period of time because they want the stadium to be done by 2031.

And we just got it to 2026.

So we'll get to the timeline in just a minute but the next step

is the initial design this part is about the entire area with the stadium and surrounding the stadium

and that includes 150 acres and that does seem to be the final design for this area is going to be 150 acres and they want to add 5 to 7 million square feet of new buildings there including the stadium so those are the two numbers that we know 150 acres 5 to 7 million new square feet of buildings and how it's going to look is the stadium is going to be on

the west side of this development on the east side right next to the stadium is going

to be the entertainment district that kind of surrounds the entire east side of the

stadium then the north side and the south side those are going to be primarily

housing units those won't be done at the exact same time

as the stadium and the rest.
