| 1:06.9 | it speaks about his purpose. And if you really want to dig deeply into this book, this lays down the foundation. |
| 1:14.6 | Now, I want to point something out here that I think is important right off the bat. |
| 1:18.6 | And that is the fact that Luke is a physician and he is a historian. |
| 1:22.6 | So you are going to see his writing style dramatically different than the other authors of the Gospels. |
| 1:30.5 | And what he does here is very special because what he will do is he will show you something really important about several very critical aspects of Jesus' ministry, |
| 1:42.8 | but perhaps the most consequential of which |
| 1:45.3 | speak of the life that Christ live for us without any desire to seek to do anything other than |
| 1:54.6 | save those who he ministered to. And guys, that's an important thing because when we look at |
| 2:00.4 | his life, when we understand |
| 2:02.1 | how spectacular it was that he lived, it teaches us to live sacrificially as he did. And that's |
| 2:08.3 | what we get here. So look at what Luke says here. And I love what he says here. He says, |
| 2:13.1 | for as much as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things |
