We have arrived at the book of Hoshaya.

Folks, Hosea is a great book in the Bible.

And yes, it is a minor prophet,

but there is nothing minor about this guy.

We got lots to talk about.

And yes, this is a smaller book, hence the name Minor Prophets,

but there is so much to talk about.

So let's get right into it.

First and foremost, when people think about

Hoshaya, the one thing that they think about is they think of the prostitute, okay? But you have

to keep this in mind. Hoshaya is not merely the story of an unfaithful woman. It's the story of

an unfaithful nation. And we've got to wake up to see that.

And by the way, it's also the story of a faithful God and a very costly redemption.

And it is certainly a story of Israel's ultimate return to the Lord in days that are yet to come.

Yes, I said it right off the bat.

Josea is a perfect picture of God saying,

I'm not done with you yet, Israel.

And that's important.
