I am joined, as always, by the delightful Mr. Elric Kane and of course

0:23.2

Mr. Phil Blanket ship from the new Beverly. Hello, Phil. Hi, Brian. Hi, Elric. I think since the last time

0:29.7

we all met up, Mr. Kane had a very special birthday and I think he may have celebrated that

0:36.5

at the new Beverly. he did let's hear

0:38.4

about it all right yeah well like we said we were celebrating with eric roberts and he invited us to

0:43.8

come down to talk about the film uh no we me and brian pulled up i was going to do runaway train

0:48.5

and shortcuts but i ended up replacing shortcuts with the centers at the vista which was also

0:53.0

incredible but um yeah, we rolled in and

1:03.9

fist bump me. He's like, I haven't shook hands since the pandemic. And like, he needed to apologize to me for not shaking. I was like, dude, it's all good, man. But he was super charming and well-dressed. Other people were there to watch him. Like, Jason

1:21.5

outside before you even see the movie. And he did a little intro and the movie just plays like gangbust. It's one of my favorite

1:28.2

screenings of the year so far. I mean, I've always loved this movie, but seeing it on a big screen,

1:32.3

it kind of puts it in that sorcerer territory for me because it just moves. And we got to ask

1:36.9

him a few questions after it. He kind of held an informal Q&A outside the theater. He said,

1:40.8

anything anyone wants to ask me, I'll answer outside and then went outside. But it was super fun. And, you know, and even better, the person behind the concession stand

1:50.2

at the last second recognized me, which felt really nice. Yeah. Yeah, that was nice.
