afternoon, good afternoon, wherever you may be. Okay. Brian, how are you? Good, Bill. We're in a very interesting time in our country's history, and very glad to be talking about that with you today.

Thank you. I want to probe a few things. I'll start right off with the piece that you wrote, which has been circulating around, about why we should nationalize elections,

I think it would be useful for the audience for you to explain what you mean by nationalizing

elections and why do you think it would be important. Could you do that?

I could, and I will.

The president said, President Trump, our president,

said a little while ago that we may need to nationalize

the elections because he is worried

that the upcoming midterm elections are not going to be fair.

And he is basing that on the fact that today in most of America, you don't have to show your ID to vote.

There still is the widespread use of mail-in balloting.

A lot of people who are not citizens are finding their

way into the polling booth or into submitting mail-in ballots. And the president doesn't like that

idea and thinks it's a dangerous proposition for the United States to have these state-run elections

that don't seem to do it in a fair way. And he has the experience of 2020, where he lost the

election, and it is primarily in his mind because there was a lot of nefarious behavior going on that state boards of

election don't seem to have gotten control of so i wrote this piece because i have i have two concerns

first is what the president was articulating that the elections don't seem to be fair and in my mind if they

don't seem to be fair that's a very harmful thing for our republic you don't like to um have an electorate
