Then my mother came on with me last week and this week, man, I just want to give you just just what the Lord is laid on my heart just for you. I am real talk Kim. So, let's get into it today. My scripture today that I just feel like the God has given me just. For you, um is from Isaiah 43.

18 through 19 Isaiah 43 18 through 19 and it says forget the former things and do not dwell on the past. See? I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up. Do not. Do you not see it?

This is what God is asking you today. Do you not see your new beginning? Do you not see that you're one step away from the greatest season of your life? Do you? Do you not see that what you thought was the worst ending of your life is really just the beginning? Do you not see it?

It says forget the form of things do not dwell on the past see I am doing a new thing now it springs up do not do do you not perceive it do you not see it?

It says I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland I'm going to name this today new beginnings. That's what we're going to talk about today new beginnings.

You know life is 10% what happens to you and 90% of how you respond to it. It really is and when new beginnings happen in your life and we all face new beginnings we all find ourselves at certain times in life.

We find ourselves at places we never in our lives saw ourselves to be. You know I think that's one of the hardest issues in life and causes a lot of us to get stuck is that we had this idea of what our life was going to look like and all of a sudden we get a door slammed on us in our life that we were not expecting.

Maybe you were not expecting that bad doctors report maybe you were not expecting yourself to ever be divorced and now your divorce three times you know maybe you never thought you would lose your son or your daughter or maybe you never saw yourself living without your spouse that is already going to heaven I don't know what your expectation that was just busted wide open is but I am telling you today that God is a God of new beginnings and you know we have to look at life as a new beginning.

It's literally 10% of what happens to us and 90% of how we respond to it. See one day you may be looking at life and everything seems great in your world and then maybe all of a sudden it's not so perfect. You know what I'm saying but overall things are going as planned but all of a sudden something happens and you're like oh my God my life was going great and all of a sudden this happens.

You know you lose your job or someone you love or your home or maybe even your health maybe all of a sudden you're just going for a routine exam and they find cancer and you're like holy holy cow what just happened you know maybe it isn't fair you don't deserve it you didn't see it coming you didn't plan for it you have so many feelings and frustrations you don't know what you're going to do.

You don't know what to do first or even if you want to do anything at all it would just be so much easier to sit around feeling bad and looking for people to blame and complain to rehashing what you could have done to make things differently or what you would have done if you only realize this before or what other people should have done to help you.

All of these things are great options if you want to maximize your misery and feel justified in doing it but not so great if what you want is to deal and move on you know I think that in my life you know I'm the type of person that for a major majority of my life I was ruled by my emotions and every time something that I was going to do.

God out of my control or something happened in my life I was not expecting God would knock me out for a year and I would be depressed and eating my emotions and sad and cry all the time and man I just decided the older I got I would just reflect and be like one thing about life as life is going to hand you some lemons and you are the one that chooses to make lemonade.

You know what I'm saying you can have a meltdown of course we're all going to have meltdowns we're all going to have bad days but it's getting back up again it's realizing that with every time life throws you something that you weren't expecting that you don't stay down as long the next time you know people might expect you to lay in your bed and cry forever over that divorce and man it does hurt and maybe you have you are crying every night.

Because they're not laying beside you anymore and they moved on with somebody else or it does hurt but you've made up in your mind I'm not staying depressed over this I can't change it I can't fix it so I am not going to live depressed over it every day and it really is just being intentional you know it's like going to the therapist every single day for 10 years after that divorce and just one day she says something or he says.

It's something that changes your perspective and you decide I'm going to live again you know it's after that divorce and you've cried every single day and you know your kids every single day and couldn't even hug little Johnny because he looks so much like your ex husband you know your little son it what his father looks like his daddy but you've been so angry you know that you can't even enjoy your life because you're over here thinking about him sleeping with another woman every night no you got to get your life back nobody is going to come give you a magic portion of joy.

You just kind of realize that nothing that walked out of my life is greater than what God's going to bring in and I may not understand it and it might hurt like hell but I'm not staying here and one day at a time I'm going to get up and I'm going to pull my big thigh up out of that bed I'm going to fix my hair and I'm going to choose to live again and I will find someone to love me again one day and they're going to love me better and they're going to it's going to be an exceedingly abundantly more than I could ever ask or think kind of relationship y'all your mind never.
