coach I'm Ryan that's Lance Jim under for unfortunately is under the weather pleasure to meet you over

Zoom and I hope your first week and a half in our fine state has been enjoyable yeah it's been

incredible I haven't and I appreciate y'all having me on I haven't haven't done a whole lot outside

of the building but certainly in here it's it been awesome. We feel like we've gotten a bunch done. I feel like we got so much to do, but it's it's been awesome. Well, I mean, let's start there. You were a respected assistant coach. You took over a program that was going nowhere fast in Tampa you turned it around

very quickly you you're an innovative offensive guy you're young you got a lot going for you i'm sure

a lot of programs kicked your tires what made Auburn stand out and be the one where you said okay

that's the one i'll go to yeah you know it it was an interesting process because it traditionally used to be, man, you'd get done with your season, and then you kind of figure out what the heck is going on and you got time.

The way the calendar is now and the way college football has evolved, you have to think of things as you're going.

And I'm so, so process driven.

I'm so focused on what the heck's going on.

It was hard to even think about anything else other than the program I was running.

But as we sat down really after our last game and tried to lay it all out, and you really,

you've got a matter of hours to try to figure it out.

And you're making life decisions, not just for yourself, but for 70 whatever people work

with you and a program that you've poured literally every single bit of your life into that you're trying to

figure out, is this the right time to walk away? Is this the right time to make a move? And for us,

it was going to take a unique opportunity and a unique opportunity that one is aligned
