Summary

A new year does not create a new life. A changed life begins with intention. This message reminds us that Jesus invites us into a life renewed from the inside out. We see the freedom He offers from the weight of our past through forgiveness, the purpose and fulfillment He brings to our present, and the faith He gives for the future that replaces fear with trust. Instead of striving for change on our own, we are invited to place our lives in His hands and let Him lead. As we trust Jesus more deeply and follow Him, our lives can become a story of healing, growth, and lasting hope.

0:27.2	Well, hello, everybody. Thank you so much for joining us this weekend as we experience church together from the comfort of our own homes. Gosh, I hope you had a fantastic Christmas
0:33.6	celebrating the birth of Jesus, and I hope that in the midst of a really busy season,
0:39.7	you've been able to slow down and relax just a little bit. In fact, when I think about all of
0:45.7	our church families enjoying church together this weekend, I imagine you sitting together as a family
0:52.2	on the couch, in your pajamas, all calm and content,
0:58.0	sipping a cup of hot chocolate.
1:00.0	Your family probably looks kind of like this.
1:03.0	But something tells me your reality is probably a little bit more like this.
1:09.0	Hey, hey, hey, hey, no judgment.
1:12.6	I'm just glad you're with us this weekend.
1:14.6	Now, if you happen to be a kid or a teenager and your parents are forcing you to experience church together this weekend,
1:22.6	I am so glad you're here and I believe that God wants to use the next few minutes to speak
1:28.5	to you just like he wants to speak to your parents.
1:32.7	About 75 years ago, back in the 1950s, advertising agencies came up with a genius marketing

1:42.9	It was really more of a slogan that they used over and over
1:46.5	again, and they used it specifically to try to mark older, more familiar products in a new,
1:53.2	fresh way. The slogan they came up with was new and improved, new and improved. And the idea became really popular and successful and suddenly there were new and improved products
