Welcome everyone to the beat. I'm Ari Melber and I want to tell you here it is

0:06.2

February 2024. As we start the show here our top story in 2024 is about a crackdown on women's rights that could be from decades back and

0:16.8

on parents' rights and on a lot of people.

0:19.0

So let me walk you through why this is our top story right now.

0:22.4

A few years ago, few might have been able to predict what is

1:27.6

and efforts by parents who want to have kids.

1:30.4

Remember, amidst all this is a crackdown on parents who are trying to have

1:34.5

children. Now an attorney with the Center for reproductive rights does know with

1:38.1

regard to this ruling it does not appear to automatically create quote

1:42.1

criminal liability for IVF providers in the practice of IVF or the

1:46.0

1:48.5

The legally extreme ruling could ultimately be paired back on appeal.
