Hello, this is Alan Parry with Gary Neville here at St. James' Park, where we have just seen a remarkable 1-0 victory for the home side against Manchester United.

Well, let's talk about Newcastle first then. They have been in a real battle in recent weeks to avoid being relegated just 12 months after winning promotion.

What kind of a boost will this unexpected victory give them?

Well, that's absolutely huge, huge three points for Newcastle United.

Going into the game there was pressure, but the pressure increased by the fact that Huddersfield beat Bournemouth and pushed them into the bottom three.

But you cannot take anything away from Newcastle to play under that pressure, to go into the bottom three. Having, like I say, seen that Huddersfield won was a brilliant, brilliant day for them. Now there are defining moments for every team in every season.
