Hello everybody, it is Ned here reporting from another bike race. I've left behind me a few days ago the heat and the colour and the delights of India crossed over Asia Minor landed at Heathrow, spent a night or two back in London including actually last night a

liaison with a extremely heavy heavily pregnant Lizzie who's now three weeks away from

adding to her family and good luck Lizzie from everybody here at an event where we did a

little sort of live never strays far showing on on stage to

support club peloton and thank you very much for the invitation there it was very good fun actually lizzie

came out with a belting line i might if i remember i'll tell you what it was but she brought the house

down and literally won the evening, annoyingly.

Anyway, I landed, I got up very early this morning and I've flown from rainy London to rainy Mallorca,

where I am going to spend four or five days following and trying to absorb and trying to do my learnings about

what on earth the challenge Mallorca series of one-day races is all about that is my mission

in this podcast. Well today is the Trofeo Calvia.

A race I've actually in my sort of thirst for road racing to resume after a long winter off.

I've actually quite often sat at home and watched

in the UK and marvelled that. I remember a few years ago Brandon McNulty clipping off the front in classic

McNulty style and riding to a solo victory. Last year it was Jan Christen the young Swiss

rider from from UAE team Emirates won, but he's not here,

Norse McNulty actually.

And yeah, it's got a few climbs, and it starts and finishes in Palmanova, which I've never

been to before, and I've just arrived at the beachfront now.

For those of you don't know, Palmanoa, it's just up the road from Magaloof and that tells you all you need to know it is pouring with rain

and I'm just walking along the seafront there's one cafe that's open with

about half a dozen people in it and a couple of German cyclotourists looking absolutely
