The CDC said it's aware of reported cases of COVID-19NB.1.8.1 in China and is in regular contact

with international partners, but so far too few U.S. sequences

have been reported of NB.1.8.1 to be included in the agency's variant estimates dashboard.

Okay. So then they're talking about how the government are taking away people's COVID-19 vaccines.

No, they're going to stop recommending the vaccine to children, I think under six, and

pregnant women, and also older people, I think, over 65 or over 75 or something like that, you can still get it.

If you want it, you can still get it.

They're just going to stop recommending it.

Now, is this new variant NB.1.8.1, is it terrible?

Is it going to shut everything down? I think not. Even this Dr. Amy Edwards,

who is the assistant professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine at Cased Western Reserve

University. Wow. That's a good gig. Who specializes in infectious diseases said,

you know, there's a little evidence that this variant binds more tightly to human cells, which means it's easier to transmit.

But that doesn't mean it leads to more severe infection.

Oh, okay.

So we don't really need to, I mean, it's just like a cold again.

Commonly reported symptoms include respiratory issues such as cough and sore throat, as well as systematic effects like fever fatigue.
