Summary
Today we’re going to talk about the best remedies for candida.
A good portion of the microbes in your gut are fungi, and candida is one type of fungi. Friendly fungi support the body in many different ways.
It’s not until we change the environment that our friendly bacteria and fungi live in that they can become a problem. For example, one of the biggest side effects of antibiotics is candida overgrowth.
If the ratio of candida to bacteria is incorrect, this can lead to health issues. But bacteria release certain things to help keep candida in check.
If candida does turn unfriendly, you need to know what you can do. One important thing to remember to support a healthy microbiome is to take probiotics if you have to take antibiotics.
The best candida home remedies:
1. Take a probiotic and consume probiotic foods
2. Avoid sugar and dairy
3. Avoid carbs (do Healthy Keto®)
4. Avoid sugar alcohols
5. Consume capric acid (coconut oil or MCT oil)
6. Consume vegetable fiber
7. Consume natural herbal antibiotics (garlic, oregano oil, thyme, sage, or turmeric)

| 0:00.0 | Let's discuss the absolute best remedy for Candida. I'm also going to talk about how to prevent |
| 0:05.6 | candida. But I first want to help you understand what Candida really is. And there's some information |
| 0:11.9 | that a lot of people just don't realize in your gut. You know, we always talk about the microbiome, |
| 0:17.9 | right? All the friendly bacteria. Well, a good portion of the microbes in your gut |
| 0:22.2 | are fungi. And Candida is one type of fungus. And collectively, all the different types of |
| 0:29.3 | funguses are called the microbiome, M-Y-C-O, and that is the family of friendly fungi. And just so you know, the great majority of these |
| 0:39.6 | fungi are not unfriendly. They work together with the bacteria to help you in many different |
| 0:46.1 | ways, for the immune system, for digestion, for other nutrients to be absorbed. It's not until |
| 0:53.2 | we alter this bacteria, the microbiome, that we get |
| 0:59.7 | a problem with the fungus, okay, because it changes the environment. And I'm specifically talking |
| 1:04.9 | about an antibiotic. One of the biggest side effects from taking antibiotics is an overgrowth of candida or other types of yeast or even mold. |
| 1:15.9 | Now, this is interesting because in the soil, you also have fungi and bacteria. |
| 1:21.1 | And having this optimum ratio really supports plant growth. |
| 1:24.5 | If you have a ratio that is not correct, you're going to have a difficult time |
| 1:30.7 | growing vegetables. It may be good for weeds, but not other plants. So in our bodies, |
| 1:37.7 | bacteria releases certain chemicals and things that keep this fungus friendly and prevent it from turning unfriendly |
| 1:48.8 | and becoming pathogenic. And so if the environment changes, this fungus starts to change its |
| 1:56.6 | relationship with us. No longer is it helping us. Now it's going to hurt us. And so there's five |
| 2:02.9 | main category of things that this bacteria release to help keep the fungus and the candida in check. |
| 2:10.8 | They make small chain fatty acids. One of them is called buterate. And these fatty acids |
| 2:17.4 | come as a byproduct of you consuming like vegetable fiber. |
| 2:22.3 | From the fiber, it changes into these fatty acids. |
