For much of the world,

the retelling of the birth of Jesus

certainly is the highlight of December.

But as big as Christmas becomes each year,

what Jesus taught the world about immortality is many times more

momentous. He once gave a large crowd this stirring council. Call no man your father upon the earth,

for one is your father, which is in heaven.

Clearly, he is referring to our existence in and of God, our heavenly father.

For Jesus, permanent existence in God define not only himself, but everyone.

And we understand and demonstrate more fully this permanent existence as we understand more

about our true spirituality.

As we move into the New Year, we can make it a priority to think and pray deeply about how we exist as the birthless offspring of God.

We can allow God's perfect creation to be the foundation for our overall perspective.

The Christ is God's loving message that tells us what is true about ourselves and each one of us.

Jesus so wholly embodied the communication of divine truth, which is another name for God, that the title of Christ was attached to his name, and he came to be called Christ Jesus.

But in every era, the Christ is always operating.

Most of the time, people consider the word immortal
