Well, it's great to be back with you guys

this week. We have been in the series that we're calling Never Been Closer. And the whole thought

behind this series is that this could be a semester where you say, you know what, I've never

been closer to Jesus. This is by far, without a doubt, my best semester yet with Jesus. And so I just

want to make sure that we're all on the same page in terms of where we've been. I've asked

breakaway worship to kind of help me illustrate this, but we started this semester by talking about

treasuring the Word of God. And treasuring the Word of God, the Word of God is in a sense like

the drums of the band of your life. It's what sits at the foundation. It's what provides the beat.

You have to have engagement with the Word of God at the foundation of your relationship with Jesus Christ.

And then week two, we talked about prioritizing prayer.

And what prioritizing prayer does is it's kind of like the base.

What the base does is it kind of fills out the rhythm section.

You can feel it.
