As we continue our series of great programs from the past

from the WWE network and I always love doing Saturday Night Main Events. Those were some of my

favorite programs that I have the great privilege to participate in a few of them. But it had

quite a run, man.

I was just looking through the archives of just how many episodes there were.

And it all originally started back in 1985, in May of 1985.

And this was after the first WrestleMania had taken place.

But the WWF was definitely on a role.

And, of course, Dick Eversal seeing this and taking full advantage and coming up with the idea of having programming that would step in, that would air when Saturday Night Live, the very popular program on NBC, which came on after the local news

on Saturday nights, you know, every Saturday, but they would take what they call a hiatus

here and there throughout the year, probably four or five times a year, and they might have a

rerun or some other special programming.
