in Washington, D.C. We are joined today by the Israeli journalist David Sheen, and we're talking

about the latest in Israeli politics where Benjamin Netanyahu has managed to weasel his way into a fifth

term as prime minister. Netanyahu, known by some people as King Beebe, has been the longest

serving prime minister since the founding of Israel, even longer than so-called founding father

David Ben-Gurion.

And we're going to talk about the coalition agreement that he made and also the new

decision that they've made officially to annex the Palestinian West Bank.

So I'm going to pivot to Max here and he'll introduce David.

So I, you know, this is kind of like my predator watch list look.

There's actually cops right now are going door to door to my neighbor's house saying like,

did you know that this white man lives next to you? He looks like this. They're not saying that I

did anything in particular criminal. They just say that I look like this. So yeah, apologies. I'm

sure some of you can relate to me. My hair doesn't grow evenly in all different places. So like by the end of this two-part interview we're doing with David Sheen, I might look like David Ben-Gurion by the end or Art Garfunkel or Krusty the Clown or somewhere in between. But we are doing it. we're doing a two-part interview here with David.

The first is about the political situation in Israel-Palestine right now, as we do have a new

extremely right-wing government. We want to talk about the COVID-19 situation and how the Israeli government and the security

services are exploiting it to deepen their control.

And in the second part, we're going to talk about David's investigation into the murder

of Alex Ode, who was a Palestinian American who was murdered in 1985

...
