Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress today as Israel continues its fight against Hamas in Gaza.

Netanyahu stressed the importance of the US-Israel alliance and continued US support,

which most recently includes $15 billion in military aid as part of a $ billion dollar foreign aid package.

remember this our enemies are your enemies Our fight is your fight and our victory will be your

victory.

Around 50 lawmakers, mostly Democrats, refused to attend the speech in protest of what they view

as Israeli misconduct in the Gaza war. That includes squad members Alexandria Acasio-Cortez and

Ilhan Omar, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Senator Bernie Sanders who said

that Netagnahoo should not be welcomed into the United States Congress.

As the Prime Minister spoke, the Capitol was surrounded by protesters, many of whom chanted anti-Semitic slogans.

At least one protester was spotted waving a Hamas flag.

Capitol police deployed tear gas and pepper spray against protesters as the crowd grew violent and attempted to cross police

lines.

Netanyahu had some choice words for those protesters during his speech.
