Today we're talking about hydroponics, another hydroponics episode. Today's question comes from Akash Chabra and he asks,

0:17.0

hey I'm growing in a deep water culture system and I've just started my seeds and what I want to know is I have a net pot in the

0:25.8

lid so the net pot is drooping down into the reservoir. Is this good or bad? I get this question a lot. I have a really

1:23.7

What I do is all of my deep water culture systems have airstones in them.

1:29.8

And what those airstones do is of course they're oxygenating the water, that's their primary function,

1:34.8

but they're putting out bubbles with such force that the bubbles are popping at the surface

1:40.8

and the popping bubbles is actually sending tiny little splashes of water up hitting the net pot,

1:47.5

hitting the growing medium that's within the net pot, and then wicking up into the plant's roots.
