And today we're talking about net neutrality with our good buddy you might remember him from the dark web episode. Mr. Dom Morrow, how you doing, pal? I'm good, man. Thanks for having me, guys. And Dom, you work in this field that we're going to be talking about today. Yeah, I work for the city IT agency.

We've got the Department of Information, Technology, and Telecommunications. And what do you do there?

I'm an assistant general counsel. Wow. So I focus more on freedom of information laws and open data, but we do have strong opinions about net neutrality there.

You know, we have other folks who are paid to have stronger opinions about it, but I got

opinions about it.

So you were just telling me that in 2014, we set up net neutrality and now we're trying to take it away? Is that what's going on? Yeah. I mean, when the internet was first created back in the, you know, the 1940s, whenever it was. Who knows? When the internet was first created, net neutrality was sort of implied, right?

It's not going to work.

It's not going to work. The internet's not going to work unless everyone agrees to pass traffic along to everyone else, because the internet is a network of networks, of networks, right? So it's just a whole bunch of disparate networks. And there's no way to get from A to B without passing through C, D, E, F, G.

Right, right.

So net neutrality is really important to how the internet works.

And in 2014, the Obama era FCC wrote that down and they made that a rule, right?
