Recently, my social media fee blew up with links to a story about a biology research project

looking to Loch Ness and the legend of Nessie with the technology of environmental DNA. I was somewhat

concerned as I saw numerous responses from my friends online saying Nessie

isn't real why bother and other things along those lines clearly missing the point of the

actual study. If these well-intentioned folks had bothered to read past the headlines

that have seen that the actual study was actually quite interesting. Yes, the news story headlines were about

Nessie, but the underlying science was about using DNA research to assess the various species

living in multiple Scottish lakes. Imagine that, using monsters to promote science research.

Well, you can see whites right at my alley.

So I reached out to the lead researcher, Professor Neilimmel and he was kind enough to conduct a monster talk interview on very short notice
