This episode sounds a little bit different because we did it in a room full of people.

It was a live podcast taping at the Haymarket Brewery and Restaurant in Chicago.

The room was full of public radio nerds, specifically WBEZ members.

And we threw this nerd party with WBEZ in Chicago in part because we are now officially a part of the WBEZ podcast family.

WBEZ has made an honest podcast out of us.

I know it's not exactly the most feminist way to put it, but I kind of like it. It's a not bad company. We've got This American Life, film spotting, sound opinions, chewing the fat, strange brews, a whole bunch of great WB Easy podcast that you can find in the iTunes store next to now, Nerdette. Since this is audio, we thought we'd take a second to kind of set the scene for you at Hey Market.

So we're sitting at a table in front of a room full of people, and there's little round tables with nerds at them. They're drinking beers. They've been playing Nerd Bingo with us for like an hour and a half. So we all made friends already. People seem to be in a pretty good mood and my mother is there, which is partly why I'm in such a good mood.
