just put his thumb up so I can start whenever.

The presidential campaign feels like it's been going on forever, but it's about to enter a new phase.

So John Harris is joined by a slate of our national political reporters.

We've got Holly Otterbine.

I cover 2020 for Politico.

I'm based in Philadelphia.

I'm spending a lot of time in Iowa.

And David Siders.

Cover 2020 for us and had been covering Beto O'Rort quite a bit and maybe still will be depending

on how he does.

They have all spent the last year or so totally immersed in presidential politics,

which is where there will stay for the next year or so,

and they're going to tell us all about what they've learned so far and what is coming down the road.

Okay, it's Labor Day weekend, a year plus out from a presidential race.
