There was a time not long ago in the grand scope of history when the old pagan gods fell.

Rome's temples were emptied, the pantheon reduced to superstitious myth, and the blood-soaked

paganism and built churches out of the rubble. Because of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the power of paganism was shattered

across Europe and much of the world. As the word of God went forth with power, the nations

of God's word through the preaching of Christ crucified, the one who was pierced for the sins of the world.

The victory was total, or so we thought. Today in the 21st century,

the old gods are making a comeback as symbols in pop culture, empty headed new age mantras,

spells in teenage bedrooms, and Eastern mysticism masquerading as so-called self-help

mindfulness. From Wicca to Norse paganism, astrology to ancestral spiritism, there is a measurable

and growing return to the occult today. In 2021, Pew Research Center revealed that six in 10

Americans now hold at least one new age belief, be it reincarnation, astrology, or the power of

crystals. In the last two decades, the number of people identifying as Wiccan

or pagan in the U.S. alone has skyrocketed by over 1,500%. On TikTok, we have the hashtag witch

talk, and that has garnered over 40 billion views making occultism not only mainstream

but marketable this isn't merely just a trend it's a religious revolt a rejection

of Christ's lordship throughout the entire Western civilization a nature abhors a vacuum

where the light of God's revelation is suppressed, the darkness
