Hey, this is a real treat, especially for people outside of Los Angeles who don't get to go to this kind of thing.

Today's recording was from an event a couple weeks ago at the Skirbel Cultural Center.

It was part of their Writers Block program, and it features our old friend Nils Scoville, who is so funny and so smart and has a terrific new book out called Just the Funny Parts, all about her career in Hollywood and specifically about being a woman in a comedy room.

It's really worth a listen, and the book is really worth your time and money to pick up.

You'll fly through it as I did.

This event features Nell, writer-producer Greg Daniels, who of course created The Office, King of the Hill,

co-created Parks and Rec, and is always funny and very dry, as well as Conan O'Brien. It's a really fun conversation about comedy, about television, about being a woman in both of those things, and I hope you enjoy

it as much as I did. I do need to thank Larry Sanders, who is the AV master over at the Skirbel Center as well as Sherry Bernstein,

and everyone involved with Writers Block who allowed me to record this and bring it to you all.
