All right, that's enough of the advert. Let've been hearing that for, I don't know, it's probably, well, a period of time to be counted in years but certainly months and they're not just

calling for revolution in Britain they're calling for revolution all over the West all over the

world such as the level of disconnection between leaders and led I suppose.

Others talk about regeneration. Others talk about

restoration. I heard the historian, the esteemed historian David Starkey using the word restoration just the other day.

And then there's Renaissance.

Depending on your personal predilections I don't know but you know perhaps given that

menu of four I would say it's a renaissance that we need some of us need that at least. A renaissance being a time of

remaking or making anew what has been abandoned until worn out.

So much of our world of before has been dismantled,

right before our eyes, it's been put out of reach permanently and that it feels like

that's what's happening across the piece a controlled demolition of a shared past to such an extent that we won't ever be able to get it back.

That's what it feels like.

I for one find that almost without exception the things I trusted outside of my immediate family
