Okay, it's now time to dive into the issues of the day as I see them with today's monologue.

There's something last straw, you know, like one step too far end of the road, about this plan to dim the sun over Britain.

They're going to make it darker.

Here in Britain, where, you know, I think we're in the bottom five of countries in the world when it comes to the amount of sunlight we get anyway.

But, you know, there's a plan to make it dimmer.

Our predecessors used to crow about a British empire upon which the Sun never set. Such was its vastness

and reach. Now, I'm not really calling for the days of British Empire again, but there's a fierce

irony about having had a place upon which the sun never set to this.

Now what passes for government in these benighted aisles proposes to make the sun set on Britain

by dumping more chemicals into the sky.

And many of us suspect they've been dumping chemicals into the sky to this effect for a while anyway.

This is just some sort of official acknowledgement of it.

No one asked for this.

The government that entitles itself to think and act as though it owns the place and can therefore do whatever

the hell it wants to Britain, to the British, is doing this because it can. Because it doesn't

seem there's any way we can stop them. I said the government, Kirstarmer's Labour government,

to be precise, acts like it owns the place.
