This is a series that a listener actually coined the term and I've been using it ever since we call it

ASM articles. Basically we just pick a person place topic event whatever it may be and we read about it.

And this is to learn learn something new together.

Tyson understandably has a huge Wikipedia page, so I'll probably be

sniffing out some parts just to make this episode a little bit more palatable.

But let's jump into it.

Neil degrass Tyson, born October 5th,

1958 is an American astrophysicist, physicist, author, and science communicator.

I was going to say commentator, but no, it is science communicator. Since 1996 he has been the Frederick P Rose Director of the Hayden

Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City. The center is part of the American Museum of Natural History,

where Tyson founded the Department of Astrophysics in 97 and has been a research associate

in the department since 2003.
