Nehemiah. I've entitled this series When God Interrupts Your Life, and I hope it's a great

my friends. I brought a series of messages over the past few weeks entitled When God Interrupts

Your Life. And I hope that you've taken that to heart. I hope that each one of you, each one of us,

I hope that we've given ourselves to the Lord in a new way to say,

Lord, I give you permission to interrupt my life. I'm listening for that still small voice.

I'm listening for God to speak to me and to guide me. And he wants to do that. He's in the

business of using people to help people. And so it was with

Nehemiah that God implanted in Nehemiah a burden for a place to which he had never been, for a

people who he loved but had never met. And God gave him that great burden. He had a cushy, cozy job

there in Shushan, the palace, as the cup bearer.

What a great job he had. And he wasn't doing anything wrong. He loved the Lord. He was serving God.

But God did something in his life. God moved in his life in such a way that Nehemiah left.

He went to Jerusalem and began the arduous process of organizing and rebuilding a wall.

We've talked about that for six weeks.

We've talked about the pressures that that brought.

We've talked about the persecution that comes.

Hey, any time you want to do something that's right,

persecution's going to come. Now, Paul said it this way. He said, yea, and all that will live

godly. All you have to do is desire to want to serve God. Yeah, and all that will live godly in Christ
