Previously, I'm Thomas in the Bible. Artixerxes, King of Persia, writes a letter to Ezra telling him that he and the Israelites could return to Jerusalem. Ezra makes his people fast because he didn't want

to ask the king for an army. After 12 days, they arrive in Jerusalem and put the treasure in the

temple. They kill some animals for God. God accuses them of interracial marriage. Ezra rips

off his garments and pulls out his hair and proceeds to beg forgiveness. The Israelites
