And Hey my friends it's Matt this is a 10 minute Bible hour podcast and I don't know if you are like me or not but this is definitely a thing about the way my brain works

But I love me a good mental map. I enjoy being able to picture a place that I'm reading about. If I'm

reading some kind of fantasy book I'll always thumb over to the map and keep

checking back on that. Okay I got my little ruler out. It'd be about this far

from there to there because it's just fascinating to me the

relationship between time and space and geography and people and lifespan travel times all of

that stuff adds up to understanding.

It's a huge part of our lives.

And so I'm having a really tough time,

truth to be told, with Nehemiah 3 because there's a ton of details

being thrown at me.

The names of a whole bunch of people happening real fast and a whole bunch of

locations around this reduced version of what Jerusalem had been prior to the

time of Nehemiah that Nehemiah is trying to enclose.

And so I went and did a little digging around it, I listened to some of my other Bibles that have cool maps.

There's one that I really like that E.S.V. study Bible by Crossway. They have cool graphics. I went there and they did not let me down on page 828 of my E.S.B.

There is this beautiful drawing of the little sliver of Jerusalem that Nehemiah is trying

to put back together here and I think as we pick it up where we left off last time, I think

we got through 12 verses of

Nehemiah three last time we're gonna do the rest of the chapter today I think as we

pick it up we're gonna be able to make a mental map it might not be perfect

it might not work for you but cheating off of this really nice art and lining it up
